Your route will take you through the stunning Arun Valley where you will have the opportunity to explore and learn about wetland habitats and the wildlife there. South Downs river valleys are a wonderful place to find waterfowl and water mammals. The meadows surrounding these valleys are rich in flora and fauna and home to many rare and internationally important species. You will pass through SSSIs (Site of Special Scientific Interest), and enjoy the tranquillity of a riverside stroll.
Your day includes a locally sourced picnic (dietary requirements can be catered for) and a wine tasting experience from local producers. With the South Downs, stunning waterways and vibrant meadows surrounding you - what better location could there be for a picnic lunch. Learn all about the fascinating backgrounds and stories of the food and drink you are enjoying and their producers.
Your walk is guided by a fully qualified International Mountain Leader who has a great deal of experience leading and instructing and also has extensive local knowledge having lived in this area for many years. All our guides are also outdoor first aid qualified and DBS checked.
